ISS Sauna Module
What happens when Finns go to space? They need a sauna, of course! In this brand new, hyper-super-duper realistic educational ISS sauna simulator created during the Spaceship Game Jam of 2025, you get to experience what it would truly be like to go to a sauna aboard the ISS! Can you complete all of the tasks?
Features include: bouncing around the game station, going to a (space) shower and throwing (space) water through – yes, through! – a realistic (space) sauna stove, all in zero g. Try it now!
Controls:
Mouse: Turn around
Space: Jump (needs to be near wall)
Q/E: Rotate view
Middle mouse: Unlock cursor
ESC: Quit
This game was made in a weekend with collabration from the European Space Agency (ESA), and the game uses realistic inspiration to simulate the sauna experience in space. For example, the shower was inspired by the AKOS Stall concept developed by Berlasconi et al, 2006 ( IAC-06-B4.4.05 A MULTI-PURPOSE ASTRONAUT SHOWER FOR LONG-DURATION MICROGRAVITY MISSIONS, see link: https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Marco-Bernasconi-2/publication/258317776_A_...)
Additionally, the concept for a zero g sauna stove was developed with help from an Aalto University professors. It functions by sucking a zero-g water bubble through heated stones with the use of a fan, and blasting the steam generated by the heat through the back. An efficient air circulation system disperses the heated air throughout the module.
